CN 4-8-2 #6032 - Canadian National  Contributor's Pick!       
Nice action shot of Canadian National passenger train headed up by CN #6032 getting ready to depart from Island Pond, VT. Built by the Canadina Locomotive Works in 1925, it was classified as U-1-b (Robinson) to demote the Robinson superheater compared to others in the class outfitted with Schmidt Type A superheaters. Anthony H. Perles, photographer, notes on the back "Looking down on CNR 6032 and GT train 16." Specs - 73" drivers, 210 psi boiler pressure, 26x30" cylinders, engine weight of 354,300 lb, tractive effort of 49,589 lb.
