| Asheville, NC, Nov 28, 2015, 9:54am: GE ES44AC NS 8129 sits in Norfolk Southern Railroad’s Asheville yard at the head of an empty coal train waiting for a crew to take it north to the coal mines of Appalachia. Second unit is EMD SD90MAC NS 7245, one of 100 Union Pacific Railroad leased units returned to Electromotive Diesel and purchased by NS in September, 2014. The NS-patched 7245 is still in UP yellow and gray, eventually to be painted in the NS horse head paint scheme. |
