Originally numbered 454 and built by Alco-Brooks in 1892, this Consolidation-type locomotive appears to be sitting in a scrap line in the Williston yard. Build specs - renumbered in 1899, class F1, 55" drivers, 180 psi boiler pressure, 13x26" high pressure cylinders, two sets of 22x26" low pressure cylinders, engine weight of 147,000 lb, tractive effort of 18,120 lb. Several sources list that members of this class of Consolidations went through various rebuilds by the GN shops. The photo is dated 1934 but no exact month or day given. Ora C.
