I am currently doing restoration on this engine. From what we're told she is an S3.You're sure she is an ex C&O? We thought Wabash from the Detroit area. I would like to paint and number her appropriatly if you have any info. Thanks.

Also...there is painted over stenciling under her AKMD on the engineer side. I can make out MW(?)X.

Great catch. I live next to one of the lines that the Arkansas Midland owns in Southeast Arkansas. Sure would like to see this S3 in the black, red, yellow, and white paint scheme of the Arkansas Midland applied on.
