An eastbound Oyster Bay train waits at the end of double track for the westbound train to arrive so it can proceed. This view shows the Locust Valley station, as well as the former Locust tower, at the far end of the station platform to the left of the train. It once controlled the switch and signals at the end of double track here, but now is a Nassau County PD substation. The interlocking is remotely controlled from Nassau tower in Mineola. |
