In August 2014 this plant wille be idled, putting 177 employees out of work indefinitely. This location has a long history. National Tube Works started here in 1872. After a strike/lockout in 1987 it was taken over by a company called Camp Hill. USS resumed operations at the plant in 2011, anticipating increased business from the natural gas and oil industries. But now, dumping of cheaper steel imports are said to be the blame for the plants closing. This complex is served by CSX and has a dedicated URR switcher that stays at the location . |
