Long hood first  Contributor's Pick!
Commuter trains on the Bay Head line didnt usually run backwards, as there was a loop to turn at Bay Head. This unit must have come in off the Raritan Valley and was not able to be turned before going out to the shore. It does show the rear end configuration well. Note the first three cars of the train-they are ex Empire Builder cars acquired from BN, the first one still in its GN Big Sky garb.
