NJ Transit Arrow I "Comarrow" cab 5164
The Arrow I (PRR MP85) electric high speed MU cars were built in 1968-69 by the St. Louis Car Company and owned by the New Jersey Department of Transportation for Penn Central service on the Northeast Corridor between Trenton and New York. Officially known as PRR MP85s, the Jersey Arrows were withdrawn from service and mothballed in the late 1970s. In 1987-89 they were rebuilt into push-pull cars (Comet I-B) and renumbered from 100-134 to 5155-5169 (cab) and 5220-5234 (coach). NJT 5164 was converted into a "push-pull" cab car from electric MU in 1988 by Morrison Knudsen and is now Caltrans 5007.
