They were classics! And around a long time. I can still hear them starting up, and the mono-toned blat sounding horn!Cab was very claustrophobic, though!

Wow! They must have had millions of miles racked up by the time they were finally retired. Only one I ever saw was in a museum.

This was the electric to diesel loco change location at the time; south of here on the New York & Long Branch RR was diesel only until electrification in the 1980s
