NS Eastbound Freight Train 320 ( Sheffield to Birmingham, Al. ) passing through Birmingham, Al. with SD60E rebuild 6907 leading the way, the 6907 was rebuilt from NS SD60 6603, I prefer the older version myself over these SD60Es cab design with that protruding brow Neanderthal look. The 2 trains to the right of 320 are 345 waiting on 320 to clear so they can head south toward Meridian, Ms. & eventually New Orleans, La. their final destination & AB06 is the train to the far right interchanging at North Yard, AB06 brings the BNSF cut from Norris Yard to North Yard & BNSF brings their cut over to North Yard from East Thomas Yard.

Matthew Schimmel General Nice shot! 5/3/2013 11:57:16 AM
William H. Davis Jr. General Thanks, close to being a no shot due to clouds blocking the sun as you can clearly see back in the train, I can deal with part of the train being in shadows as long as the power is in sun, this was close to being all shadows 5/3/2013 12:00:31 PM
Butch Getz General Lots of action, including the clouds.....two questions....how long before that cantilever bites the dust, and what is the steam engine behind the fence? 5/4/2013 6:45:08 AM
William H. Davis Jr. General Not sure how long before the old cantilever is removed, I'm sure very soon though, the steam engine is 2-8-2 Frisco 4018 & was put on display inside the Sloss Furnace property, Sloss Furnace has been shut down for many years, but is used for concerts & at Halloween they have a fright fest 5/4/2013 6:54:22 AM
Atlanta Rails General Nice shot, stupid power. 5/4/2013 11:52:45 AM
William H. Davis Jr. General Thanks, I agree, stupid Neanderthal power 5/4/2013 3:26:29 PM
Bernie Feltman General I do not like widecabs 5/5/2013 9:43:12 AM
William H. Davis Jr. General If they're EMD I can tolerate them, mostly I don't care for GE Widecabs unless they're KCS, Heritage Units, Demos, & FXE, it gets old seeing train after train of GE Widecabs of the generic variety such as CSXT, NS, UP, & BNSF 5/5/2013 9:52:09 AM
