Built by Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1910, this locomotive and its 24 sisters were among the first to be delivered with superheaters. It had 69" drive wheels and an overall engine/tender length of 64 3/4 ft. All were rebuilt by SLSF sometime in the 1930's with a few being streamlined in 1939. All were "dismissed from service" between May 31, 1949-December 11, 1951. No actual date or location was given for this photo. Note the fireman in this photo filling the tender from a standpipe. |
