The typical ex-CB&Q GP7 would have a lower than usual headlight, as the Mars light was mounted above, where this headlight is now located. Also note an extra set of grab irons on the Fireman's (Conductor's) side of the short hood, unfortunately lacking the grab above the numberboard and one more on the roof, rendering them next to useless. Repair work maybe. |
