A train sits at the interchange with CSX in Connellsville awaiting a new crew. This high-hood was acquired by the Wheeling and Lake Erie in 1990 and rebuilt to a GP35-3 in August 2001. Built as Southern 2655 GP35 in January 1965. Wheeling Lake Erie trains are no longer allowed to sit idle at this location because of complaints about noise. Last year this was being leased to the SWP Railroad. Check out the old Alco trucks on this. |
