Remastered from my previous photo of this train, Union Pacific's CUWBS climbs the final grade coming into Lynndyl on Union Pacific's Provo Subdivision (Now Sharp Subdivision) Approaching the Highway 6 Grade Crossing north of town. This train loaded at the Wildcat Mine on the Utah Railway near Helper and was handed to the Union Pacific at Provo. The line between Provo and Lynndyl was renamed the ''Sharp Subdivision after the UP/SP Merger in 1996. You won't find coal trains led by four SD40-2's anymore. |
