Extremely infrequent NS 82T Black Thunder Mines, Wyoming to Beesley's Point Generating Station, Upper Township (Ocean City), Cape May County, New Jersey loaded coal train passes the restored (now a museum) ex-Reading Valley Forge National Park station. A few feet to the left (south) of the station is George Washington's headquarters. The train consist started out with 111 loaded coal cars, 15,800 tons, and all of the cars are newer series gondolas. About 25 of the cars were dropped off in Stowe Yard just west of Pottstown, PA, a few miles to the west of Valley Forge Park. 0938 hours. |
