Illinois Central Gulf GP11 #8744 leds an eastbound Tuscaloosa - Montgomery (AL) freight
Illinois Central Gulf GP11 #8744 was built February 1953 as Union Pacific GP7 #708, later re# UP 108. In 1980, unit was rebuilt into GP11 model and on April 24, 2000, unit was sold to National Railway Equipment at Silvis, Illinois.

Very nice Bernie! Shot an ABS local on the last active part near Tuscaloosa and wondered if the track had looked any better when it was a mainline, I guess not!
