Gary Everhart General Now that's the face of winter heading up this train! 2/5/2012 6:39:46 AM
Matt Reeves General Didn't this one wreck on Feb. 1st? 2/19/2012 8:15:31 PM
Gregg Pullano General Indeed it did...hence why I captioned it as "ill-fated." This engine also slammed into a car near Dearborn in 2010, killing four high schoolers. And it's obviously very rough around the edges. A proverbial black cat on the Amtrak roster. 2/19/2012 8:21:12 PM
Matt Reeves General The youtube video about the wreck said Amtrak doesn't know if it will be salvaged or not. Was it salvaged? 2/19/2012 8:27:07 PM
Gregg Pullano General It wasn't terribly damaged (compared to some other wrecks in recent years). It will probably go to Beech Grove at some point in the future to be rebuilt. Might be a year or two before it comes out again, though. BEE doesn't work very fast on these units. :/ 2/19/2012 8:58:38 PM
Grant Potter General I saw this engine two days before it crashed. I really hope it'll go into service again, because I feel like I have a tie to that locomotive. (Hence my username) 1/19/2015 10:31:08 AM
