Louisville & Nashville consecutively numbered SD40's #1226 & 1227          
L&N SD40 #1226, built June 1966, later became SBD/CSX #8302. L&N SD40 #1227 was built June 1966 and later became SBD/CSX #8303. Unit was rebuilt to SD40M-3 and became Southern Pacific #8640. Later left roster and became CEFX #3146
