Northern Pacific GP9 switching the Mpls MN main depot in 1965.         
The GN, NP, CB&Q, CNW, and CGW used this main depot built by James J. Hills rail road. This depot serviced over 125 passenger trains per day at its peak of passenger travel. The Soo Line and Milwaukee used a depot a mile from here called the Milwaukee Road depot.

Robert Anderson General Supplimental. The Royal Hudson years later on it's visit derailed it's pony truck in there. Re- railed in a few minutes by crew members and MTM personnel with wood wedges. 7/16/2018 10:04:29 PM
