MP 3103, 3141, and one other unit move through the (non-interlocked) junction at 80th Street, Chicago early in 1985. Just as these engines approached, a (very kind) MoPac policeman was telling me that the area around this spot was "no place for a man with a gun, let alone a girl without one!" but instead of running me off, he waited with me until I made the picture. Then I high-tailed it right on outta there! Ahh, the stupidity of youth. (date approx)

Stu Nicholson General Nice shot. I used to watch the MP roll through Warrensburg, Missouri every day when I went to college at UCM. Loved to see those "Eagles" fly by. 8/31/2011 8:02:48 AM
Chuck Zeiler General Interestingly I was run off NS property around 47th Street in Chicago at gunpoint about the same time. Later I found out there was a lot of looting of stopped trains in that area. 10/15/2011 11:58:49 AM
George Sillett General Great shot, well worth it... 4/2/2012 11:24:03 PM
