Built in 1925 for Blue Comet service between Jersey City and Atlantic City, this car was named after the comet "D'Arrest". Used in regular commuter service, mostly on the New York & Long Branch, after the Comet's discontinuance, it was named the "Beachcomber". Currently owned by the URHS, it sits on the rails that it once traveled at high speeds, taking passengers to the shore.
