F9 on the Rio Grande Zephyr  Contributor's Pick!
DRGW F9A 5771 leads the eastbound Rio Grande Zephyr at Granby CO in June 1973. Coming after Amtrak had taken over most of the rest of the pasenger trains in the country it was great to see one operated by a railroad again. Now only if the sun had stuck around.

Bernie Feltman General Because of the low lighting, you can clearly see the light bulb in the engine room. A great photo - beautiful scheme - great locomotive model !! 6/22/2011 8:44:36 AM
