Believe this was only the fourth GE 44-tonner built, GE serial #12911, delivered to the Great Northern as their #5201 on 9/17/40, later renumbered GN 51, sold in 1956 via dealer Bateson-Stolte of Augusta, GA to A J King Lumber of Sevierville, TN for their subsidiary Smoky Mountain RR. Seen on the rrpa homepage 9/5/11.

This GE 44-tonner Center Cab Switcher is the Smoky Mtn Railroad (KS&E) #440 that was the ONLY diesel locomotive the KS&E used.
