| Idling in Miller Yard between assignments with a recently repainted cabside number and sporting a replacement Rio Grande orange front plow. This SD40 was delivered to Southern Pacific as 8435 in March 1966, in May 1981 this EMD emerged as SD40R 7370 and kept this number until being retired by Union Pacific on July 25, 2000. I could not find any info on this unit after departing UP so most likely 7370 was scrapped after 34 years of service. |
