In the 1970s, Precision National Company leased engines to a number of railroads. Years later, locomotive leasing was not uncommon at all, but PNC was one of the first to offer locomotives on short term leases. PNC NW2 1011 worked for Amtrak at Los Angeles Union Station in 1978, painted in the companys attractive green and yellow scheme. This engine began life at Texas & Pacifics 1011, later becoming Missouri Pacific 1011 before being sold to PNC. |
