Delivered to Santa Fe as GP7 2706 in January 1952, rebuilt as GP7u 2106 in September 1977, and retired in September 1991. This Geep was picked up by Wichita, Tillman & Jackson Railroad keeping the Santa Fe assigned number and paint arriving patched as WTJR 2106 in 1995 and would later head north finding employment on Nebraska Central as NCRC 2106. In this photo WTJR 2106 is spotted in transit to WTJR waiting for the next train north at UP's Centennial Yard in Fort Worth. |
