General Electrics ES44C4 diesels, with their unique A-1-A trucks, are (so far) uniquf the the BNSF Railway. A pair of them, 6646 from the second order, and 6602 from the first, are on the head end of unit coil steel train U-PITKAI1-05A (Pittsburg, California to K`iser [Fontana], California) as it descends Cajon Pass in southern California on November 6, 2010. The second order of the ES44C4s have noticeably heavier handrail stanchions (the almost appear solid in this image) than the earlier order, a trait shared with later ES44DCs as well.
