Strangers in a Strange Land Editors Pick! Contributor's Pick!
A pair of big NS units work a ballast train on the Cimarron Valley RY, a rather mundane assignment a long way from their home road. As Tim H points out in the comments, this is part of a state-funded effort to upgrade the CVO tracks in order to keep grain on the rails and off the roads. How two NS units ended up on this assignment beats me. NS 2593, an SD70M-2, trails.
