Western Maryland engine 502 is moving some cars around in the yard, putting together a train of passenger cars for a train run from Cumberland to Frostburg in a about an hour and a half. Western Maryland and later Chessie System operated a car repair shop in this yard for decades. The Western Maryland Scenic Railroad has given this place a second life, as they keep all of their vintage rolling stock, passenger cars, and engines here. After doing some extensive research I found out this GP30 is a restored former Conrail 2175/Reading 3607 engine, as the original Western Maryland Railway never had any GP30's on their roster.
