| Looking west (railroad south) from the Red River levee along the approach trestle up to the Red River bridge. The first girder bridge is Main Street and the next one is 3rd Street, just to the left of the railroad's depot. The top of the station building can be seen behind the tree in the middle of the photo, while the freight yard is at the bottom of the bridge approach. The KCS stopped using this crossing of the Red River in late January 1996, upon completion of a new bridge six miles south of here; and this approach was removed by early June of that year. |
