Bump  Contributor's Pick!
On a foggy morning in October low-nose SP GP9 3712 pushes the ICG's New Orleans wreck train into the West High Curve of the Huey P. Long Bridge. Just beyond the wrecker, and on the opposite track, is SP GP9E 3387 and - sticking up in the air - SP caboose 1274. The 1274 was on the rear of a westbound train that was stuck on the bridge behind an MP train. For some reason, the MP could not take their train into their yard; so the SP decided to send some engines over from the east side of the river and pull their train back off of the bridge. Anyhow, it was a dark and foggy night, and SP 3387 coupled into the 1274 just a little too hard, causing it to jack-knief like this; and now the ICG wrecker has come to make things right!
