Ted Brumberg General Car on the left was built in 1947 by Budd in Lot #9613-004 as NYC 56 seat coach #2938, sold in 1967 to Long Island RR and converted to 106 seat commuter coach #529, later to this car dealer, then to Arizona Transit Assembly as ATAX #2938. The middle car was built in 1937 by Budd in Lot #967 as AT&SF baggage-messenger #3430 for the SUPER CHIEF, sold in 1968 to Metal Processing Industries (Vinton, TX), later to this car dealer, then to ATAX #3430. The car on the right was built in 1947 by Budd in Lot #9610-023 as NYC 64 seat full diner-6 seat waiting lounge #408, originally paired with kitchen-22 seat lounge #482 (Lot #9643-023). However, the car dealer acquired #408 and #481, not #482! #408 and #481 were also acquired by ATAX, and all four cars were then stored in Mauldin, SC, and are currently listed for sale on Ozark Mountain Railcar. 7/13/2014 7:49:05 PM
