I think it may be a mock up carbody,as there is no centersill or underframe visible.

From what i've come to understand, this boxcar body is made of Wood, and is smashed into by the runaway as a train ahead attempts to get in the clear on a passing siding.

It is a mockup-Steve Stertzbach was the WE engineer that ran the locos by remote control, said they were made of aluminum & styrofoam.
