The following is from Utahrails.net: SP 8293 (assigned UP 8827) was removed from service at South Morrill, Neb., on 8 November 2004 due to diesel engine failure; stored at Progress Rail at South Morrill until moved to North Platte, Neb., on 8 October 2005; moved to Denver, Colo., still there as of mid September 2007; retired in late January 2008. |
