| Burlington Northern Railroad SD24 6255 at Cicero, Illinois on an unknown day in December 1981, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Built in May 1959 as CB&Q 515 (c/n 25212) on EMD Order 5598, it became BN 6255 and was retired by the BN in July 1982. It is seen here with the exhaust stack covered and being switched into storage at Freight House Nine in Cicero. It would eventually become WC 6255, then FRVR 2401, then MMID 2401. |
