SP Yard Slug 1013 at Tucson, Arizona on November 21, 1985, photo by Chuck Zeiler. The SP had four of these (#'s 1010-1013), made by GE from L&N EMD NW2 (and one SW7) model switchers. This one was former L&N 2204 (which was former Monon 15, c/n 4446, built on EMD Order E794), rebuilt as SP 1013 in August 1979, assigned UP S3 in September 1997, assigned UPY 902 in December 1999, and retired August 31, 2000. The UP numbers were never applied. It is seen here slaved to MP15AC 2733, built in October 1975 (c/n 756053-2), becoming UPY 1461 February 22, 2003. |
