Tony Fernandez General Was this a former UP SD40 of the same number? It's external characteristics, especially the trucks with 3-brake cylinders/side frame, the elongated dynamic brake blister fairing, and the plow design seem the same. If there's a brake wheel mounted on the rear platform, then it seems reasonable to believe it is that ex-UP unit. I suspect that the #3046 is probably another ex-UP unit as well, the former EMD SD40 demontrator #434G, bought by the UP and numbered #3046. 4/11/2009 11:57:36 AM
