| A KCS freight trains rumbles by a passing itinerant who is crossing the I 20 railroad bridge in Shreveport to get to a hangout underneath the Murphy Street overpass on the other side of the bridge. A well meaning man had hired four of these itinerants (who use the Murphy St. overpass as a drinking spot) to haul trash out from the hangout. Channel 12 even aired a story on the clean up, as the Murphy Street overpass had become a huge eyesore. The reporter, do gooder and itinerants were all oblivious to the danger of passing trains. KCS police eventually issued a trespass warning to the reporter, but after the officer left, the trash clean up and bridge crossing continued. |
