This fool driver probably got fired, because whatever trucking company he worked for had to pay for damages to the rig, the locomotive, the rail, ties and roadbed. If he was an independent trucker, he was out a lot of bucks. It really pisses me off when I see idiots trying to beat a train, because if they lose, they're dead, quite often along with friends or family members, or maimed for life, ditto. I'll never, ever, understand what makes or made those people tick.

Cool pic. How does a truck get hit by a train in this area...trains went about 10 mph. I assume this is somewhat near the Acadamy Street overpass. Gosh that track just looks so old fashioned. I miss the old gritty downtown Greenville.
