These things are interesting. Used in the Cleveland, then i belive sandusky ore docks. This pusher would have its own track, with a track on either side of it that the coal (or ore) cars would line up on. The two arms (located right in front of the front wheel) would stretch out and lock onto the back of both ends of the cars on both sides, then it would push them up onto the unloading ramp. CSX still has a bunch of thes at the ore docks in toledo (they look much different, and are diesel, this ones electric.) |
