| No. 11671 is one of the 90 B-B-B type built from 1972 to 1980 for heavy duty service. Six 1,740 horsepower motors are mounted on the frame to produce over 10,000 horsepower. Speed limit is close to 90 mph. The three "trucks" do not pivot but have sideplay allowing taking the 1,000 foot radius curves of the Gotthard line at a good speed. |
