Mike Boyle General cool shot, found this on a web search. BORDER PACIFIC RAILROAD. The Border Pacific Railroad Company was chartered on February 1, 1984, to acquire thirty-two miles of track from the Missouri Pacific between Mission in Hidalgo County and Rio Grande City in Starr County. The initial capital was $80,000. The principal place of business was Rio Grande City. The incorporators were Sam Vale, Linda Vale, Lloyd M. Bentsen, Sr., and George Cantrell, all of McAllen; A. J. Vale, Miriam Vale, Gustavo Pérez, and Yolanda Pérez, all of Rio Grande City; and Trinidad Guillen and Dora Guillen, both of Fort Worth. In 1990 the railroad reported revenues under $5 million and hauled waste, scrap, nonmetal minerals, and farm products. 12/28/2011 9:26:03 PM
