Description:  This is a 1920's piggy-back flatcar, called ferry-truck service on the North Shore Line. This service was discontinued in 1947 and the car was sold to the Chicago Tranist Authority. It was used in MW serivce until acquired by the museum in 1995. Partially restored, it is curently used for storage.
