The NOW shoves the remainder of their train down one of the sidings in Tiffin and prepares to call it a day. The entire day, we had been tracking a very rare movement on the CSX Toledo Branch. CSXs "GMS-2", the track geometry car, was making its way north to Toledo from Columbus on the former Conrail line. The geometry car hardly ever makes it off the east coast, so we knew it was something that we needed to track down. We got this last shot of the NOW and parted ways. A very successful chase! |

We decided to jump over to Galatea and then head south. We werent totally sure we had missed it yet, but chatter on the NS Fostoria District confirmed that the car had yet to go through the diamond north of Findlay. So, we made a B-Line there. Sure enough, a green signals welcomed us at the diamond, and so did the car. We grabbed some shots of it with the wind turbines in the background to begin our chase. |
