Description:  This S2 was originally purchased by the Alton in 1945, then merged into the GM&O. It served Bloomington and Springfield yards for decades. Date and Location are unknown, but a good guess is Springfield in the late 60s as it finished it's career in bright red.

Description:  Two and a half years before the Illinois Central-Gulf Mobile & Ohio merger, GM&O 1005 was photographed at Mobile. The locomotive was assigned ICG number 1054, but all of the GM&O's 27 Alco switchers were retired without being renumbered.
