Scandinavian Tour 2014 - Denmark |
Description: |
The EG 3100 is the only Siemens Eurosprinter with six axles. Because of the opening of the new Øresund Belt link in 2000, offering a direct link between the Danish, German and Swedish rail networks, the Danish rail operator DSB decided to order thirteen very powerful locomotives. Later DSB Gods was sold to what became later the joint venture between German DB Schenker Rail and Swedish Green Cargo. |
