Title:  Chicago & North Western 2-8-0 #1733
Description:  Although a GP7 took the number #1733 in the CNW roster, this 2-8-0 was the first to carry the number. Built by Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1909 as a Z class unit, it had 61" drivers and developed 185 psi boiler pressure. No information was on the back so the location & date were artibrarily set.

Title:  CNW 2-8-0 #1800 - Chicago & North Western
Description:  Here's another member of the Z class locomotives built by Alco-Schenectady in January of 1911. It had 61" drivers and developed 185 psi boiler pressure, a stoker was applied in December 1943. No date or location were given so they have been arbitrarily set. Ted Cherry is credited with the photo.

Description:  249 of these Z class (for Zulus) were built by Baldwin and Schenectady between 1909-1913. They were were described as "good sized Consolidations" with 61" drivers, developing 185 psi boiler pressure for their 25"x32" cylinders. The engine weight tipped the scales at 232,000 lb and they could generate a tractive effort of 47,377 lb. No photographer listed and date is approximate.
