Title:
Baltimore & Ohio 4-6-0 #1357
Description:
Like sister B&O #1355 in this album, B&O #1357 was one of ten built by the B&O shops in 1891 as a class B8 locomotive. They all had 60" drivers, 170 psi, fnd an overall wheelbase (engine + tender) of 49.67'. According to "SteamLocomotive.com", they were confined to the Ohio River subdivision because they could cross the old, lightoy built Point Pleasant bridge over the Kanawha River bridge due to their light weight. In the late 1940s, a new bridgb meant these engines could be retired and they soon left sdrvice. Since no date or location were given, they were arbitrarily selected based on this info. Bud Laws has been tentatively idenitified as the photographer.

SP 4-6-0 #2384
Description:
Besides pulling President Harding's special train to San Francisco, it was also noteworthy in an unfortunate sense - a tragic accident nearly destroyed it on May 23, 1937. It was rebuilt in the same Sacramento shops where it was born and served into the late 1950's.

FSSR 4-6-0 #2522 - Fort Smith, Subiaco & Rock Island
Description:
Nice older photo of the Fort Smith, Subiaco & Rock Island 4-6-0 ten-wheeler #2522. According to an online source, "this railway line started out as the Paris–Subiaco Traction Company in 1908, renamed to the Fort Smith, Subiaco and Eastern Railroad in 1909, and finally the Fort Smith, Subiaco and Rock Island Railroad by 1919. It stretched roughly 40 miles along a circuitous route between Paris and Dardanelle, via Subiaco and Scranton. The eastern half of the line between Scranton and Dardanelle was abandoned by 1945, with the rest of the line closing down in 1962." No exact date, location or photographer was given for this photo so approximates were used.

ex-LMS 5000
Description:
I took this at the National Railway Museum of Britain in York, and the locomotive is the very first of the famous LMS "Black Five" 5P5F Class 4-6-0s. Although some others had lower numbers, like 4767 downloaded right before this, the first Black Five does nevertheless carry the number 5000. Here it's displayed coupled to a period version of the Royal Train, as it would be configured to pull it.
