Description:  Before there was BNSF Trackage Rights trains across Utah,There was BN Pool Power. Here two Burlington Northern SD60M's 9274,9214 and Southern Pacific SD45 No.7452 head up a short lived Iron Ore Train DVGVC. Back in 1993 Burlington Northern and Southern Pacific pooled power on an Iron Ore Train between Denver and Geneva Steel.

Description:  A typically heavy SP eastbound grinds up the 2.2% grade into Caliente. Worthy of your attention is SP 7457, rebuilt 9/82 from SP 8800, the very first of SP's eventual 357 unit fleet of SD45s, the largest of any railroad. She's now at the Utah State Railroad Museum in Odgen. Date of this photo approximate.
