Description:  The hoods would be scrapped very soon. Since 99 was the parent to the slug and the slug did not receive a UP number, I assume it was scrapped then too. Note the trucks on the slug. It was built from F7A #74A by MKT in 1976.

Description:  This was the main locomotive shop for the Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad, in Parsons, Kansas; and the locomotives on the left were RS3m 154, GP40 193 and GP38-2 315. The Union Pacific closed the shop following its purchase of Katy Industries in 1988, but the building is still there and is used by TM TRACK MACHINES, a division of Omaha Track Railroad Services.
